Curtis Robinson-NASM Certified Personal Trainer (Fitness and Nutrition)
Who would have ever guessed that buying an old downtown building in a small town of Oklahoma, essentially rebuilding the building, and scrimping and saving to turn it into a gym would be so much dang work!
I have to say, I enjoy the in person time with my clients now more than ever because it gives me a break to focus on what I am most passionate about, TRAINING!
Lately, I have been so busy working on the new gym and moving myself and 2 sons into our new home, I have even started missing my own workouts!!
I know, gasp. Though we all know it tends to happen when life gets crazy, and why we are so busy tending to the needs of everyone else we often put ourselves on the back burner.
Sometimes, (and I hesitate to even speak it aloud, as if its he who should not be named) the daily workout falls lower on the priority list.
The important thing is self management. I find exercise is the very best way to manage the stress we face in life. So, I was very pleased to get a mile run in this morning with a client training to run her very first Sprint Triathlon!
I think I am about excited as she is, We have been working for a long time together (she does most the hard work) and the day is almost here! The race is this weekend!!!
So, even though I am completely snowed under with everything that needs to be done, I'll be honest. I could use an evening without the kiddos while they visit their mother and I get to go and watch (like a proud parent) a huge milestone in a training program i've invested months into!
Seeing clients get their result is like watching my kids open Christmas presents (the ones they like).
Don't worry, progress is going nicely at the facility. The Robinson's will still be living in transition until school is out, but one day soon all will settle, Cherokee will have a gym, my family a new home, group classes will begin, and we can all work together on our smokin HOT Fitness Bodies.
